Unpardonable, Unforgivable Sin: Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost

Matthew 12 22 THEN A DEMON POSSESSED MAN, BLIND AND MUTE, WAS BROUGHT TO JESUS, AND HE HEALED HIM, SO THAT THE MUTE MAN SPOKE AND SAW! 23 ALL THE CROWDS WERE AMAZED, AND WERE SAYING, "THIS MAN CANNOT BE THE SON OF DAVID, CAN HE?" 24 BUT WHEN THE PHARISEES HEARD, THEY SAID, "THIS MAN CASTS OUT DEMONS ONLY BY BEELZEBUL THE RULER OF THE DEMONS." 25 AND KNOWING THEIR THOUGHTS JESUS SAID TO THEM, "ANY KINGDOM DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF IS LAID WASTE; AND ANY CITY OR HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF WILL NOT STAND. 26 "IF SATAN CASTS OUT SATAN, HE IS DIVIDED AGAINST HIMSELF; HOW THEN WILL HIS KINGDOM STAND? 27 "IF I BY BEELZEBUL CAST OUT DEMONS, BY WHOM DO YOUR SONS CAST OUT? FOR THIS REASON THEY WILL BE YOUR JUDGES. 28 "BUT IF I CAST OUT DEMONS BY THE BREATH OF THEOS (The Alpha & Omega), THEN THE KINGDOM OF THEOS (The Alpha & Omega) HAS COME UPON YOU. 29 "OR HOW CAN ANYONE ENTER THE STRONG MAN'S HOUSE AND CARRY OFF HIS PROPERTY, UNLESS HE FIRST BINDS THE STRONG (man)? AND THEN HE WILL PLUNDER HIS HOUSE. 30 "HE WHO IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME; AND HE WHO DOES NOT GATHER WITH ME SCATTERS. 31 "THEREFORE I SAY TO YOU, ANY SIN AND BLASPHEMY SHALL BE FORGIVEN PEOPLE, BUT BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE BREATH SHALL NOT BE FORGIVEN. 32 "WHOEVER SPEAKS A WORD AGAINST THE SON OF MANKIND, IT SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM; BUT WHOEVER SPEAKS AGAINST THE HOLY BREATH, IT SHALL NOT BE FORGIVEN HIM, EITHER IN THIS AGE OR IN THE FUTURE.

What is Blasphemy Against The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit?

The context is very clear. Jesus cast out a demon by the power of The Holy Spirit (Holy Breath). But the Pharisees claimed that the miracle was from Satan. The Pharisees denied Jesus as being God on Earth and worked against Him. They denied where He came from and what was the source of his powers. They claimed that He was demon possessed and was doing the works of Satan. They saw the miracles of God firsthand. They knew the scriptures and saw God on Earth. They personally heard Jesus teach. Yet they were still disobedient and rebellious and refused to get saved. They had gone to the level of eternal damnation due to their hardness of heart that they were never going to repent regardless of anything they saw, read or heard.

38 "FOR I HAVE COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, NOT TO DO MY OWN WILL, BUT THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME. 39 "THIS IS THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME, THAT OF ALL THAT HE HAS GIVEN ME I LOSE NOTHING, BUT RAISE IT UP ON THE LAST DAY. 40 "FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF MY FATHER, THAT EVERYONE WHO BEHOLDS THE SON AND BELIEVES IN HIM WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND I MYSELF WILL RAISE HIM UP ON THE LAST DAY." 41 THEREFORE THE JEWS WERE GRUMBLING ABOUT HIM, BECAUSE HE SAID, "I AM THE BREAD THAT CAME DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN." 42 THEY WERE SAYING, "IS NOT THIS JESUS, THE SON OF JOSEPH, WHOSE DAD AND MOM WE KNOW? 1 John 1:9 IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND RIGHTEOUS TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

The Pharisees did not believe God. They were against God. But they had reached a level of evil that they could not repent. However, the Apostle Paul used to be a very evil man who was a Pharisee. At first, he denied & rejected Jesus and even worked against Jesus, But He eventually repented and got saved. He never saw Jesus in person before he got saved. But the more important difference between him and the other Pharisees is that he was willing to repent once he saw Jesus and/or the workings of Jesus.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED; NEITHER FORNICATORS, NOR IDOLATERS, NOR ADULTERERS, NOR EFFEMINATE, NOR HOMOSEXUALS, 10 NOR THIEVES, NOR THE COVETOUS, NOR DRUNKARDS, NOR REVILERS, NOR SWINDLERS, WILL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF THEOS (The Alpha & Omega). 11 SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU; BUT YOU WERE WASHED, BUT YOU WERE SANCTIFIED, BUT YOU WERE ACQUITTED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND IN THE SPIRIT OF OUR THEOS (The Alpha & Omega).

Can We Commit The Unpardonable Unforgivable Sin Today?

Many people claim that we cannot commit the unpardonable, unforgivable sin today, in modern times, because we don't see Christ Jesus on Earth. But Jesus said that blasphemy against Him (against Him in his human form) was forgivable, but blasphemy against His Spirit was unforgivable. So yes, we can commit this same sin today because it is the same breath/spirit of God that still works true miracles on Earth to this very day. Miracles still occur. God is still moving upon this Earth in modern times. But if His Spirit convicts us of our sins & we repent, then no, we have not committed the unforgivable, unpardonable sin. The unforgivable, unpardonable sin of blasphemy against The Holy Spirit is committed when a person has already heard the truth & actually seen the manifestation of the good works of Jesus and yet still could be so rebellious & blasphemous against The Holy Spirit that the person would not repent, but instead, would continue to wage war against Him & speak evil against Him. If we are convicted of our sins and repent, Jesus will always accept our true repentance and forgive us of any sin. It's impossible for a true Christian (a true follower of Jesus Christ), who has The Holy Ghost of Jesus, to have previously committed the unpardonable, unforgivable sin. And the only way that they could possibly commit it in the future, is for that person to completely forsake Jesus and never return.

Remember that we must always have a second verse to read to make sure that we understand a teaching. Because if we go by only one verse, we might misunderstand. Therefore to understand about the unpardonable sin. We must also understand the many verses that talk about God forgiving any sin, including murder, homosexuality, adultery, idolatry, witchcraft, etc. If God can forgive murder and these other abominations, then why could He not forgive something else? Doesn't make sense! The only thing that He could never forgive in any life/resurrection, is only the condition of wickedness that is so extreme that the person will never repent.

Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit During The Wrath of God

Another example of someone committing the sin of blasphemy against The Holy Spirit is in Rev.16 where the people with the Mark of the Beast remain rebellious and unrepentant even after they see the evil of the antichrist, and the goodness of God, and the fulfillment of bible scripture. These people will eye witness the book of Revelation being fulfilled. Just as the Pharisees eye witnessed God on Earth and the fulfillment of bible prophecy. Yet these people are so wicked, that instead of repenting, they continue to hate Jesus and curse Him. That's blasphemy against The Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit.

Rev.16 4 THEN THE THIRD POURED OUT HIS BOWL INTO THE RIVERS AND THE SPRINGS OF WATERS; AND THEY BECAME BLOOD. (Exo 7:17-20) 5 AND I HEARD THE ANGEL OF THE WATERS SAYING, "RIGHTEOUS ARE YOU, WHO ARE AND WHO WERE, O HOLY ONE, BECAUSE YOU JUDGED THESE THINGS; 6 FOR THEY POURED OUT THE BLOOD OF SAINTS AND PROPHETS, AND YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM BLOOD TO DRINK. THEY DESERVE IT." 7 AND I HEARD THE ALTAR SAYING, "YES, O LORD, THE THEOS (Alpha & Omega), THE ALMIGHTY, TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS ARE YOUR JUDGMENTS." 8 THE FOURTH POURED OUT HIS BOWL UPON THE SUN, AND IT WAS GIVEN TO IT TO SCORCH MEN WITH FIRE. 9 MEN WERE SCORCHED WITH FIERCE HEAT; AND THEY BLASPHEMED THE NAME OF THE THEOS (Alpha & Omega) WHO HAS THE POWER OVER THESE PLAGUES, AND THEY DID NOT REPENT SO AS TO GIVE HIM GLORY. (See verse 11) 10 THEN THE FIFTH POURED OUT HIS BOWL ON THE THRONE OF THE WILD BEAST AND HIS KINGDOM BECAME DARKENED AND THEY GNAWED THEIR TONGUES BECAUSE OF PAIN, (Exo 10:21) 11 AND THEY BLASPHEMED THE THEOS (Alpha & Omega) OF HEAVEN BECAUSE OF THEIR PAINS AND THEIR SORES; AND THEY DID NOT REPENT OF THEIR DEEDS.
