First we must unlearn man's false doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture. Then we should come to learn that God is going to give power to the wild beast (Assad) to make war against the Saints & overcome many of them. Many will be beheaded for the Name of Jesus. But God is also going to protect some of His people individually & in very small groups across the world. God is also going to protect a certain small number of people in a place of safety, a place prepared of God to be protected from the beast for 3.5 years. That is the subject of this article, "The Place of Safety".

Verse 15 and 16 are again very physically speaking, not spiritually! It's a physical fleeing with action of both The Church and the evil one. The Earth helps the woman and swallows the flood. This is not speaking of just staying in your house reading the bible, praying and fasting. This is a real Exodus of God's Elect, using airplanes (and cars). I believe this is actually a massive earthquake and tsunami which will strike the USA! Of course we will only go to this Place of Safety if we are placing ourselves in His arms with sacrifice of ourselves and our time and by reading, obeying, praying and fasting. It's not based on whose group you sign up with. It's not based on which man or which group can figure out all the numbers or bible codes. God makes the decision.

Verse 17 shows that some have been taken away because there is a remnant left behind. There would be no remnant if the church is not taken away into this Place of Safety.

In the first Exodus, God brought them out on the wings of a eagle spiritually speaking but those people still had to physically walk across the Red Sea and into the wilderness and into the Promised Land. So thus shall the people in the modern day 2nd Exodus also have to physically move into the wilderness along their journey to the Promised Land of the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus is our Refuge. He is the one who protects us. He is our Place of Safety. But there is a physical Place of Safety on Earth, where He will protect some of his true followers. But God will lead you there and He makes the decisions. It's not a matter of which group has the most research into places, locations, history, bible codes, dates, numbers, etc. God will lead His people by dreams, visions, speaking in tongues, true prophets, etc. When the time is ripe, you will know it. If He calls you to this place, He will tell you when and where. First you must become dead to yourself, apply the Blood of Christ and share your testimony (Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.) Notice that how we overcome the evil one is in the same chapter as the description of us going into the place of safety!

Matt.24:16 "Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains"

Matt. 24 isn't talking about 70 A.D. because Jesus didn't return in 70 A.D. and because 70 A.D. wasn't the worst time in all of human history as verse 21 teaches. So Jesus was speaking about our lifetime. Yet in our lifetime, Israel isn't called "Judea". It's called "Israel", a word that is found in the bible. Jesus knew that it would not be called "Judea" in our lifetime. So why would He call it "Judea" when He knew that in our lifetime it would be named "Israel"? The only possible answer is that He was using a code word that must be deciphered.

Romans 2:28-29 Romans 9:6-8 teaches that everyone who is truly saved is a spiritual Jew, regardless of our physical bloodline/race. Remember also that in Rev.21:1-4 we will eventually live in "New Jerusalem". Therefore we have a home in Judea and we are citizens of Judea because of our reservation to live in New Jerusalem. If we are truly saved, we are in Judea, spiritually speaking.

Also, from Matt.24:21, Dan.2:39 Rev.13:7 that the Day of The LORD (the "Great Tribulation") will be in every nation on Earth. So why would only people in Israel have to flee, but no one else in other nations? That would not make any sense. Rev.12:13-16 does not limit the fleeing to physical Judea or Israel. Luke 21:36 says that we should pray to escape these things. Again, this verse doesn't limit the escaping to only people in Israel.

So we must conclude that Matt.24:16 is talking both physically and spiritually. Of course, Jesus would focus more on Israel itself. Just like the fact that I speak more about the USA because it's where I live. But the Day of the LORD (Great Tribulation) won't be limited to just USA or Israel. Israel will be one of the very first places that the Antichrist will invade. So it makes sense that He would warn them specifically. But Rev.13 and Daniel 11:41-44 and other verses proclaim that he will invade many nations. So regardless of whether "Judea" is literal, symbolic or both, it would be wise & prudent to flee when we see the Strong Delusion Abomination of Desolation in Heaven, regardless of location.

In Exo. 12:38 when Israel fled from Egypt, a "mixed multitude" of people left with the Israelites. This means that some Egyptians went with them. The Exodus of Israel symbolically foreshadowed the end time Exodus of the people who follow Jesus. The end time fleeing will be a repeat of the Exodus. Compare Rev.12:14 "two wings of a great eagle" to Exodus 19:4 "eagles wings". In Exodus, they crossed the Red Sea which split in two for Israel. In Rev.12, again there is water that threatens to hinder the Exodus. But the waters are moved (swallowed up by the Earth) so that the true church can escape.

If a person is not saved, there is not much benefit in them fleeing. The armies, starvation, famine and punishment will follow them wherever they travel. We must tell people this. They can flee and still die if they are not repenting and getting saved. It is not the location alone that protects them. But if we follow Jesus, then we must both repent (get saved) and flee for our safety. USA, England, South Korea, Japan & all Asian nations, and all nations of the Earth, will be ruled by Islamic Sharia Law. So the prudent thing to do is to seek shelter/safety. Also Isa.26:20 is speaking about the fleeing/hiding from the danger. It does not limit it to just Judea.

Location:

The wilderness locations of Revelation 12 are divinely created, ordained and appointed by Jesus Christ. If we are ordained to enter the place of safety wilderness of Revelation 12, then we must go to the place He created for this express purpose, and not a place that we self determine to be a safe place. People can look on a map and think about all of the possibilities, and the needs, water, wood, food, shelter, etc, and still not be safe even if you think it would be the safest place on Earth. If you are appointed to enter the wilderness place of safety, you must receive divine revelation about where to go. But if you are not appointed to enter the ordained place of safety, it would still be wise to leave the urban areas, coastal areas and large cities and seek the safest possible place according to logic. Jesus will protect some people who do not enter the ordained safe places. Some who enter the ordained safe places will still die due to unrepentance. Whether we live or die, let us follow God's true will for us. It would be an honor to die for Jesus. But it would also be a great honor to be protected by Jesus. Each person should fast and pray concerning Jesus' true will for them, and not what they want. There is no disgrace in fleeing. Jesus told the church to flee. He gave us common sense and the natural instinct of self defense. People shouldn't just volunteer to die. That's suicide. But if you try to survive and the enemy still captures you, and if you are ordained to die for Christ, then at that point of time, the person should embrace death with honor and bravery. But if you are ordained to live, don't try to be a warrior in the urban cities in the midst of invasion, but rather seek safety as a person with reasonable common sense and God ordained nature of a desire to live.
