Do We Need Pastors & Teachers?

Whether you agree or disagree, I encourage everyone to always pray before and after reading any teaching on any website.

In these end times, there is a new and very popular doctrine that is going around, that we don't need and should not accept pastors or teachers. Let's examine their reasonings:

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Here, these false teachers on the internet, are teaching that this verse means that we don't need any teachers. Yet they themselves are breaking their own doctrine by teaching. And John is teaching. Paul taught. Jesus taught. Peter taught. All of the prophets and apostles taught. Yet the claim is that today, we have The Holy Spirit which teaches all things. That's wonderful that yes, we do have the Teacher inside of us if we are truly saved and truly have The Holy Spirit. But yet isn't it also true that when a person first receives The Holy Spirit, that they are a baby in Christ? That's what the scriptures say. And it also talks about us learning and growing and maturing. Doesn't every baby/child need someone to teach him the way? Isn't that what Philip did in Acts 8:26-40. And that was after The Holy Ghost/Spirit had been gifted unto man after the Day of Pentecost! Didn't Paul also enter the synagogues on the Sabbath day and teach?
Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
Acts 19:8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

Didn't Paul say that he was a teacher? 2 Tim 1:11 "Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher..."
Where is the verse that says that the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are done away? No such verse exists. Instead, the scriptures describe in great detail how that the New Covenant church is to be structured, with bishops, deacons, etc. These deacons are actually an increase in teachers. Not a reduction.

What did Jesus say?
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Doesn't Revelation 11 also speak of two men (The two witnesses) who will be His prophets to all nations? Aren't they apostles, prophets and teachers of the end time? Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Did you read the above scriptures in your personal paperback/hardback bible today or just only on this website?
If only online, I encourage you to please open your bible and read these verses both on our website and in your bible. There is power in reading the real bible. Also, did you pray before beginning to read about this specific subject today? If not, I encourage you to take the time now to pray for understanding of truth.

So what about 1 John 2:27? What does it mean? If John is teaching that we should not have pastors and teachers, then he is alone and is himself teaching something completely contrary to many other scriptures and therefore many verses would be contradicting and then we may as well throw the entire bible out the window. But we know better than that! The bible does not contradict! It's the teachings of the false teachers which twist the scriptures out of context which make these verses seem to contradict. John is not denying the need for pastors and teachers. But rather he is asserting that we do not have to rely solely on men, since we do have access to The Father via Jesus. We can do spiritual sacrifices of prayers and fastings ourselves and we can study the scriptures ourselves and we can ask and receive true teachings directly from The Holy Spirit, but these things do not erase all of the other scriptures and do not negate the need for proper structure for the church body of believers which is very clearly set forth in scripture to include apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers/deacons.

Another verse the false teachers use is John 14:26 But the Comforter, who is The Holy Spirit and whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things. Yet are we to throw away the book of Acts and everything written after John? This same Holy Spirit of John 14 is the same Spirit that ordains teachers and pastors.

1 Cor. 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by The Holy Ghost.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
(Some people use this verse to try to prove that we don't need pastors. That's a huge twisting of scripture! Look at verse 28!)
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

Another verse they try to use is:
Hebrews 8:10
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

But when is Hebrews 8:10-11 talking about? Is this already fulfilled? No! This is not yet fulfilled. Although the new covenant is even now already in our hearts, it is not currently true that all people know Him. Notice also that "I will be to them a God and they shall be my people" is referring to Rev. 21:3,7. It is talking about Paradise in the New Heavens and New Earth after all things are fulfilled. There is no way possible for Hebrews 8:10-12 to be referring to our current time frame.

If there was ever a time in history that we needed teachers, true teachers, it is now! More than ever before! And that includes apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Today, most people are filled with false doctrines and lies of the devil. Everyone has been deceived. Rev.12:9
We need teachers of sound doctrine!
The new testament is very clear that God has given us these people ordained for the work of helping us get straightened out in doctrine.
The internet/Facebook is filled with false teachers who are teaching that we don't need any teachers, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers. They claim all these ordinations were done away with.
Oh Lord Jesus, have mercy on us!
This false teaching is a war on your soul. It is a direct attempt of the devil to hinder your growth in The Word of God and to hinder the true work of God.

You can easily see in the verses above that in the end times that the Gospel is going to be preached. When you preach, you don't just read the word, you teach it. Preaching is not about screaming. It's about teaching/expounding.

Mark 4:34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Acts 11:4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
Acts 18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Philip explained it to the Ethiopian in Acts 8:25-40.
Paul explained it.
Jesus explained it.
Peter explained it.
Ephesians 4:11-16 and 1 Cor. 12:27-28 tells us that God has ordained apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. In no way, shape or form have apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers been done away. They have not been done away. They remain to this day.
We all need teachers within the body of Christ.

But we need teachers who know and understand The Word of God.

Whenever someone tells you that we don't need teachers, apostles, prophets, evangelists or pastors, You need to either rebuke them or else run away from them as fast as possible. Either way, you should disfellowship from them, block them. They are false teachers who have come to steal, kill and destroy!

Warning! If the person you are listening to, doesn't keep the Sabbath (every Saturday), they are not mature enough in the Word to be teaching you! If they preach against the sabbath or against the Holy Days (Feast days) or preach against tithes, they are false teachers! If they keep Christmas, Easter, Halloween, new years, birthdays, they are part of Babylon! They have need to be taught themselves!

If you disagree with this article, I ask that you please take this into fasting and prayer.
