I have always been open minded about the possibility that there were other books of the bible that were hidden by the Vatican or rejected by the people (leaders of the Catholics, Jews and others) who decided what books to include in the bible.
Over my lifetime I have viewed many such book possibilities and given them honest, sincere examination. However most of them were very obviously counterfeits and fakes and fiction, created by heretics to purposely create additional confusion for Christians and Jews.

In this page, I will give a list of possible lost books of the bible and apocrypha books and rejected scriptures. I will list why they are acceptable, or why not acceptable.
For a book to be acceptable, it must not contradict the already well accepted scriptures when properly translated. And the original origin of such book must be in the first 2 centuries A.D. or earlier. And it definitely helps if the book was at one time accepted as scripture in the mainstream. I also examine the fruit of the book. If I see that the fruit is mostly only evil, then the book itself must be evil.
The shortest list is the apocrypha books that are acceptable and are easily proven as true scripture. So I will present that list first. Then present the books that we should continue to reject and why. Some of the reasons will be debatable because Revelation 12:9 tells us that Satan has deceived the entire world. Deceived people don't know that they are deceived. Everyone wants to believe that they are correct. Therefore I ask that you please consider the links that I present to sincerely examine correct and incorrect doctrine. If you have a "knee-jerk" reaction without honest, deep examination, you could easily fall into the category of the entire world that is deceived. The bible tells us to prove all things. Very few people have ever taken the time and effort to do so. They just assume that they are correct. Self pride prohibits most people from acknowledging that they have been wrong all of their lives.

-Books must not worship Mary, the mother of Jesus. They can honor her, yes, but not go to the extent of worshipping a human. That's the first commandment!
-Books must not be obviously written by Catholics, such as worshipping Mary, or using terms such as "Saint Timothy, Saint Paul, etc.", thereby revealing that they were written by pagans and/or written later than 150 A.D. -Books must not teach that Jesus married a woman in the flesh. Although it would not had been a sin for Jesus to marry, if such event had occurred, it would not be ignored by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul and Peter. Let's use logic! In addition to such a major event not being ignored, Jesus did not come to indulge in fleshly desires.
-Books must not teach a pagan trinity. Please click here to examine the proof.
-Books, when properly translated, must not teach that the original Sabbath was removed by the Messiah. Please click here for proof that the Sabbath was never removed by Christ.
-Books must not deny that Jesus is God. Please click here for undeniable proof.

Section 1: Acceptable Apocrypha Books

King Abgar V, king of Edessa: Letters to and from Jesus: I don't see any reason to reject these short letters. There seems to be enough archaeological evidence and surviving manuscripts and quotations from the time period. The time period is acceptable. The teachings are acceptable. No contradictions to scripture.

Section 2: Apocrypha Books That We Should Reject

The Book of Enoch debunked/refuted/exposed. The book of Enoch contradicts scripture. Also, in my many years in the ministry, I have honestly only seen nothing but evil fruit come from the book of Enoch. Many false prophecies and many false doctrines and demonic activity. Although you may disagree with that statement because of your limited exposure to other people who have read Enoch, I know what I have seen in talking with many people in many nations, over many years.

-Polycarp and Ignatius: I honestly examined the writings and Polycarp and Ignatius. Polycarp promoted Ignatius. When Ignatius wrote to the Magnesians, in chapter 13, he wrote the phrase "in The Son and Father and in The Spirit". There sounds like he was teaching the pagan trinity. Therefore we can't risk accepting any of the writings of Ignatius or Polycarp. We much exercise much caution about accepting "additional" scripture. It's a very dangerous thing.
